Position Overview:

Saints Neumann Goretti High School is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented professional to serve as the Assistant Director of Advancement. The successful candidate will support and enhance the school’s fundraising and engagement efforts to advance the mission of the school.

 Summary: The Assistant Director of Advancement reports directly to the Director of Institutional Advancement and collaborates with the Board, faculty, staff, and key stakeholders to promote and grow the school’s mission advancement program.

The ideal candidate is an organized, professional, and strategic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is adept at managing multiple projects, and maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

 Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate donor gifts and manage applicant information for scholarship programs
  • Oversee gift entry, ensure timely and personalized gift acknowledgment processes, and maintain records of donations to various funds
  • Maintain accurate, current, and detailed donor, alumni, and constituent information in Raiser’s Edge
  • Assist the Director of Advancement in planning and executing key fundraising and engagement events
  • Develop, organize, and oversee direct mail campaigns, appeals, and solicitations
  • Collaborate with the Director of Accounting on monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reconciliations
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors through in-depth research and relationship cultivation
  • Prospect, secure, and steward local corporate sponsorships, and establish strategic partnerships with public and private organizations
  • Support grant efforts, including researching funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and overseeing the grant administration process
  • Serve as a key point of contact for alumni relations, fostering meaningful engagement and increasing alumni participation in fundraising efforts
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the advancement and overall mission of the school

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated integrity, passion for education, and a commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of Saints Neumann Goretti High School
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, advancement, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or similar donor management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build, foster, and maintain positive, long-term relationships with a diverse range of constituencies, including donors, alumni, students, faculty, leadership, and community partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling appeals, reports, and marketing content
  • Strategic thinker with a goal-oriented mindset and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects independently
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform fundraising strategy and decision-making
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and personal integrity
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as necessary, for events and donor meetings
