Position Summary:

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Office of Catholic Education and Cardinal O’Hara High School are currently seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to fill the position of Accounting Assistant. This position will be responsible for providing crucial administrative and clerical support to an accounting and finance department, handling tasks such as data entry, document processing, and financial record maintenance. They will also assist with tasks like billing, payroll, vendor relations, and account reconciliation, often serving as a point of contact for financial inquiries. This role will involve working closely with all departments.

 This is a part-time, 10-month position.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and record keeping.
  • Document management and filing.
  • Internal and external communications.
  • Financial reporting.
  • Reconciliation processes and management.
  • General office management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an office environment, particularly in an accounting or finance setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Familiarity or experience with accounting software is a plus. 
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, families, administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Possess initiative, leadership, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, the mission of Cardinal O’Hara High School

 Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an office environment, particularly in an accounting or finance setting.
